There are many online sources of sounds, but many have variable authorships, prohibitive licensing fees and differing quality levels depending on where, when and with what the recordist used to make and finish the samples.

Samplibrary uses a curated approach to providing sounds. The minimum standard for recording sounds for us is professional tier hardware like Zoom f series and Sound Devices, studio hardware and Mics. All sounds are processed in a custom acoustically treated mastering studio (Sonic Alley Studios) in Ontario Canada. 

Samplibrary HD Sound FX isn't known for its vast sample count, but that does not mean we cannot get you what you need! Our current library covers most categories professionals use from animal sounds, to household, industrial, nature, automotive, seasonal and processed effects

Our main library The Founders Sound FX Pack allows its members to request any sound from our team they could ever require through the SUGGESTION ENGINE. Even if you require a hard to record custom foley sound we can sound design whatever your need

We find that members benefit from receiving what they actually need, not 100k samples to sift through!

The oldest file type for sound is pcm .wav standard.

All other formats like mp3, aac, flac came as a result of compressing audio files for digital use, so the wav file is the absolute highest uncompressed form of audio.

HD 96khz 24 Bit
Sample Rate and Bit depth both affect the quality of recorded sounds as well. All of our samples are recorded at 96khz 24bit and processed without conversion in Protools.

All of our files are stereo 2 channels, but some are recorded purposefully as mono sounds for effect. 

Our files work across any audio and video editing software both mobile and desktop as well as playing back on most standard systems 

There are massive disparities between online professional sound FX companies, from multi- terabyte low quality libraries for 25$ to 20,000$ libraries with 150,000 sounds.
